With Men’s Spring 2010 Fashion Week currently underway in Milan, many reports are focusing on the economy as much as the designs. Talk of smaller crowds, lack of color on the runway and even the latest trend – designer lines being created for the masses for the likes of Target, H&M & The Gap. Years ago (possibly just seasons ago) it would be abominable to even whisper the name Target while shuffling to the next show in your Manolos.

So, Lashblast and I have been going strong for months now, but I’ve always had a wandering eye. I’ve never been able to resist a mascara launch. Thus, I got sucked in by the recent Revlon Double Twist commercials (Damn you Jessica Alba!), and I had to have a tube. Oh the horror!

As good as Revlon 3-D is, Double Twist is just plain awful. The plastic brush tugs and deposits way too much product. Seriously, folks, Tammy Faye herself would have shied away from this effect. I could almost imagine her handing me cold cream and cotton balls and saying, “Really dear, don’t you think you’ve overdone it just a tad?”. No amount of lash combing or brushing could soften the effect. Simply horrific. The fling ended as soon as it began, and I’ve gone running back to Lashblast.
