kane8LFW is celebrating 25 years of catwalk action and we are celebrating Christopher Kane.

He’s been a fave for some years now but his latest quote has us wrapped around his 26 year old little finger. When asked to describe the Christopher Kane woman he replied, “She is a real individual and a keen follower of fashion. She maybe works in the industry or another creative field. Age doesn’t really concern me; I’m more interested in personality and the way a woman carries herself.” This is the way to reply to any question concerning a woman!

And because of that reply Mr. Kane, you get your own bit on our little blog. No sharing the spotlight for YOU! Now on to all the sexy gingham we’ll be wearing next spring…Oh YEAH!

neutrogena wash
Brand: Neutrogena
Product: Deep Clean Gentle Scrub

Everyone knows that makeup is best worn over clean, moisturized, exfoliated skin.  The problem is that most exfoliators are extremely harsh and strip skin of healthy oils.  I got turned on to Clinique’s 7 Day Scrub several years ago.  I’m a sucker for free samples and Clinique hooked me big time with this product.  A creamy exfoliator is genius for those of us with dry or sensitive skin.  It lived up to its name, it was so gentle that I really could use it seven days a week.

At $18.00 for 3.4 ounces, about the only flaw I could find with Clinique’s 7 Day Scrub was the price.  After finally depleting my supply, I decided I had to find a less expensive alternative.  It took some trial and error, but I did find some less pricy but completely worthy alternatives.

One of my new favorite scrubs is Neutrogena’s Deep Clean Gentle Scrub.  Like most, if not all Neutrogena products, this scrub is oil free.  That’s not exactly a selling point for me, but it seems like everyone these days looks specifically for oil free products.  The product is rich and creamy, and yes, very gentle.  The scrub contains microbeads that exfoliate softly.  It also contains beta hydroxy which deep cleans as it exfoliates, thus rendering a separate cleanser unnecessary. The rich lather rinsed clean and reveals skin that glows. Neutrogena’s Deep Clean Gentle Scrub retails at Walgreen’s for $5.24 for a 4.2 ounce tube. The only drawback is that I wish it didn’t smell like a Creamsicle.
