Gap boot cutBrand: Gap
Product: Denim

It’s been years since I’ve loved a pair of jeans. The last pair of jeans that I LOVED was made by a company called Asphalt Blue. Yeah. I’d never heard of that company either. Bottom line, they fit me like a glove. I put them on, and I knew I looked good. I know I bought them in college, I think I bought them at Wet Seal (yes, I’m serious), and I’m sure I bought them for $29.99. Great investment. I wore them for almost ten years.

Since then I’ve worn a slew of jeans from low-end to high-end and everything in between. Although GAP is known the world over for their denim, their denim had never been a fit for me. Recently, however, GAP redefined their whole denim line. Coincidentally, I was in the market for a new pair of jeans. Luckily, there is a GAP five minutes from my door. Then again, isn’t there a GAP five minutes from anyone’s door?

At $69.50, GAP jeans are not exactly cheap, but they’re at least half the price of Citizen, Seven or Paige jeans. They are soft and have that broken in feeling that can usually only be achieved after years of wear. They come in a variety of fits. My favorite are the Boot Cut and Real Straight fits for daily wear. The dark
Perfect Boot fit is perfect for an evening out. There’s a fit for you all, I’m sure. In the market for a new pair of jeans? Hit GAP first. I’m sure you’ll look know further.

PFrankBrand: Paul Frank for Target
Products: Children’s clothing and accessories

Got Kids? Get thee to Target. Go ahead and roll your eyes. I understand. I’ve been on a Target kick lately and I can hear you all thinking, “Seriously, enough with Target Cutie”. I had every intention of branching out, really, I did. But, I can’t help it if my son needed a raincoat. It’s not my fault that Target makes really cute and inexpensive children’s clothing. I’m not to be blamed that Target has teamed with Paul Frank to make the most adorable line of baby clothes and accessories on the market. Julius the Monkey, how I love thee!

Paul Frank’s iconic Julius the Monkey is the star of the show adorning everything from itty bitty baby bikinis to car seats. In between you’ll find him smiling on hoodies, onesies, pajamas and tees. My son just loves Julius, and I just can’t resist scooping up a tee here and there (the six bucks I spend is soooo worth the squeal of delight I get when I pull out a new “monkey tee”). Swing by Target and indulge in a little Julius for the little ones in your life. You just can’t help but smile when you see that cheeky little monkey. Come to think of it, there is nothing cuter than a cheeky little monkey wearing a cheeky little monkey. Sadly, the raincoats are sold out online. :(
