We heart Didier! Sending a huge congrats to one of our fave footballers for being named one of Time Magazine’s Top 100; an annual list of those who most affect our world. Didier is listed in the Heroes category alongside Bill Clinton, Mir-Hossein Mousavi and Graça Machel. Pretty impressive work, Mr. Drogba.

A short clip from the article…
“He’s a weapon, not a footballer,” says one. “A specimen,” says another. “The scariest footballer in the world.” When the World Cup kicks off in South Africa in June, he will carry the hopes of a continent as Africa’s best-known soccer star. No pressure.

The full article is here and gives a quick peek into the world that surrounds Didier, from his humbleness and very generous being to his take on the celebrity that comes with being #11.

In closing, the song sung by so many each week as they watch him live…’All we need is Didier Drogba”

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday morning tartlettes!  We know you’re only here to see the footballers today, not the fashion, so we use that term with the utmost endearment. We’re bursting with excitement since scoring our tickets to the match of the summer. Chelsea FC v AC Milan is happening in Baltimore on Friday, July 24th and we will be there with champagne & camera in tow.

Everyone knows we’re rooting for soccer to grow in the U.S. In the meantime, we are all too happy to take advantage of the current ticket prices.

Chelsea is the hubby’s team, who we think represent the sexy pretty well. They’re definitely full of flavor on (and off) the pitch.

Below is AC Milan, known in the US as the team that stole Mr Becks from the Galaxy. Lots of eye-candy on this team too, including my secret crush Pirlo. We apologize to Mr Dinho, but this shot was too good to pass up. We know you’re fabulous on the pitch but we’ve all seen those shots a gazillion times over, no?

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter weekend!

Anyone following are FF spots may wonder why Crissy Ronaldo has never been mentioned. We don’t have a pc answer to that so we’ll just blurt it out that we don’t care much for him. Ego, euro-trashtasic with the permanent shiny look isn’t our stylo. However, to avoid alienating those fans who are into that, we bring you Ricardo Quaresma.

And all you Crissy fans know how he loves his CR7 brand (Cristiano Ronaldo wears #7 for those wondering what we’re talking about). He dons the diamond earrings with the logo and opened up his euro-man boutiques carrying the label. Take a peak at Mr Q’s (copycat?) version…

Every footballer has their beauty shot and we’re liking Mr Qs. Not too shabby. We vote he brings this stylist onto the payroll.
