So, Lashblast and I have been going strong for months now, but I’ve always had a wandering eye. I’ve never been able to resist a mascara launch. Thus, I got sucked in by the recent Revlon Double Twist commercials (Damn you Jessica Alba!), and I had to have a tube. Oh the horror!
As good as Revlon 3-D is, Double Twist is just plain awful. The plastic brush tugs and deposits way too much product. Seriously, folks, Tammy Faye herself would have shied away from this effect. I could almost imagine her handing me cold cream and cotton balls and saying, “Really dear, don’t you think you’ve overdone it just a tad?”. No amount of lash combing or brushing could soften the effect. Simply horrific. The fling ended as soon as it began, and I’ve gone running back to Lashblast.
